Q21.	Ramesh is thrice as good a workman as Bipin, and is therefore able to finish a piece of work in 40 days less than Bipin. Find the time in which they can do it working together.

Answer : 15 days
Explanation :

. Let Ramesh can finish a work x days.

So, Bipin can finish the same work in 3x days.

According to equation (3x - x) = 40 days

or x = 20 days.

So, Ramesh can do the work in 20 days and Bipin can do the same work in 3 20 = 60 days.

If they work together day will be taken by them = (20 x 60) /(20+60) = 15days

Q22.	A and B can do a piece of work in 10 days and A alone can do it in 15 days. In how many days can B alone do it.

Answer : 30 days
Explanation :

A and B can do a piece of in 1 day =1/10 parts.

while A can do it in 1 day = 1/15 parts.

Hence, B can do alone in ( 10 x 15)/( 15-10) = 30 days.
