"She is a Changemaker" - Program Launched By NCW

Highlights:

• “She is a Changemaker, a pan-India capacity building program, was launched on 7 December By National Commission for Women.
• "She is a Changemaker" program was launched for women in Politics.
• It is a capacity-building program initiated in cooperation with region-wise training institutes.
• It will be fulfilled to offer capacity building of women political leaders and enhance their decision making & communication skills.
• The Launch of training programs for the "She is a Changemaker" program in collaboration with Rhambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini happened in Thane, Maharashtra. 
• Programs were launched by the Chairperson of NCW, Rekha Sharma.

• NCW is the sanctioned body of the Government of India, ordinarily concerned with encouraging the government on all policy matters related to women.
• NCW was founded on January 31, 1992, by the National Commission for Women Act, 1990. 
• The first chairperson of the committee was Jayanti Patnaik.

• To provide a voice for issues and concerns related to women.
• Subjects of campaigns
• The subjects of campaigns of NCW include politics, equal representation for women in jobs, dowry, religion, and exploitation of women for labor.
