International Animation Day Is Commemorated On 28 October

- President of ASIFA is Sayoko Kinoshita and ASIFA Founder is John Halas.
- ASIFA was founded in 1960, in Annecy, France.
- ASIFA created the International Animation Day (IAD) in 2002, honouring the birth of animation.
- This is recognized as the first public performance of projected moving images, Emile Reynaud’s Theatre Optique in Paris, on the 28th of October 1892.
