What is Repo Rate ?
Defination:
Repo rate is the rate at which commercial banks borrow rupees from RBIespecialy at the time of any shortage of funds. It is also known supplementary loan. A reduction in the repo rate will help banks to get money at a cheaper rate. When the repo rate increases, borrowing from RBI becomes more expensive.
