##### Directions : Study the graphs carefully to answer the questions that follow: Total number of children in six different schools and the percentage of girls are give bellow in the line-chart.The numbers of boys in school Q is how much percentage (approx.) more or less than the numbers of girls in  the school  S  ?
 1) 140 2) 142 3) 144 4) 148 5) None of these
Explanation : The numbers of boys in school Q = (3000 x 55/100)  = 1650
The numbers of girls in  the school  S  = (2250 x 30/100) = 675
So, different = 1650 - 675 = 975
Therefore , required more % = (975/675) x 100 = 144 % (approx.)
##### Directions : Study the graphs carefully to answer the questions that follow: Total number of children in six different schools and the percentage of girls are give bellow in the line-chart.What is number of boys in school P and Q are more than girls in school of S and T ?
 1) 1475 more 2) 1655 less 3) 1875 more 4) 1975 more 5) None of these
Explanation : Total number of boys in school P and Q = [ (2500 x 60/100) + (3000 x 55/100) ] =1500 + 1650 = 3150.
Total number of girls in school S and T = [ (2250 x 30/100) +  (1250 x 40/100) ] = 675 + 500 = 1175

So, the different = 3150 -1175 = 1975

##### Directions : Study the graphs carefully to answer the questions that follow: Total number of children in six different schools and the percentage of girls are give bellow in the line-chart.What is the total number of boys in School S ?
 1) 675 2) 1250 3) 1475 4) 1575 5) None of these
Explanation : Given ,total numbers of children is 2250 and percentage of girls 30.

##### Directions : Study the following graph carefully to answer these questions.Invest (in Rs Lakh) of Two Business Partners A & B over the yearsWhat was the percent rise in investment of B in 2004 from 2001 ?
 1) 15% 2) 16-2/3% 3) 18% 4) 20% 5) None of these
Explanation : The investment of B in 2001 is 60 lakh and investment in 2004 is 70 lakh .
So, % increased = [(70 - 60)/60] x 100 = 100/6 = 50/3 =16.66%
##### Prasant's father was 48 years of age when he was born while his mother was 46 years old when his brother four years younger to his was born. What is the difference between the ages of his parents ?

##### The sum of the present ages of Alok and Prakash is 60 years. Six years ago, Alok's age was five times the age of Prakash. What will be the age of Prakash after 6 years ?
 1) 16 years 2) 18 years 3) 20 years 4) 24 years 5) None of these
Explanation :
Let, the present ages of Alok and Prakash be x and (60 -x) years respectively.
Then, (60 - x) - 6 = 5(x - 6)
54 - x = 5x - 30
or 6x = 84
or x = 14.
So, Prakash's age after 6 years = (x+ 6) = 20 years.
