IIT Bombay ranks among top institutes in QS Graduate Employability Rankings


  • Three Indian Institute of Technologies (IITs) and Delhi University have ranked among the top 200 in QS World Graduate Employability Rankings.
  • The 2020 QS World University Rankings: Graduate Employability included revaluation of 758 institutions that comprises a 15% increase in the number of institutions on previous year's edition.
  • Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay is ranked in the 111-120 range.
  • It is among the top 24% institutes in the 2020 QS Graduate Employability Rankings with the score 54-55.1/100.
Other Indian Institutes:
  • Other Indian institutes that were ranked among top 200 includes IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, and Delhi University.
  • Apart from this, IIT Kharagpur, BITS Pilani, University of Mumbai, IISc Bangalore, IIT Kanpur and the University of Calcutta have also been ranked among 201-500 range in the 2020 QS World Graduate Employability Rankings.
  • The ranking is compiled based on factors with five indicators namely:
  • A) employer reputation
  • B) alumni outcomes
  • C) partnerships with employers
  • D) employer/student connections
  • E) graduate employment rate
