The largest PSUs NTPC signs MoU with Odisha government for setting up of ITI


  • Recently,the Maharatna Company NTPC signed a MoU with the Odisha government for setting up of an IT (Industrial Training Institute) in Ganjam district.
  • The total investment is Rs 7.72 crore.
  • The ITI would be established at Bhusanda in Shergarh area of Ganjam district.
  • The ITI was expected to be operational during 2016-17 with all infrastructure in readiness.
  • According to the agreement, the state government will provide suitable land at the location free of cost to NTPC for the purpose.
  • The ITI will be constructed by the NTPC with the capital expenditure of Rs 7.72 crore which included the cost of civil work for workshop, academic building, hostel building as well as plant and machineries for a strength of 200 students.
