Ishwar Sharma was honoured with 2020 the Global Child Prodigy Award

Highlights:

  • Ishwar Sharma from the UK has been honoured with the Global Child Prodigy Award 2020. 
  • The award recognized for the achievements in spiritual discipline yoga. 
  • He received his Certificate of Achievement at a special event attended by Nobel Laureate Kailash Satyarthi and Dr. Kiran Bedi, Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, in New Delhi in January 2020.
  • He was chosen from the UK for the awards which honour child prodigies from across 45 countries and 30 different categories such as biking, choreography, paleontology, fitness and martial arts, among others. 
  • The award will now give him an opportunity to be an ambassador for yoga and spread the message.
Ishwar Sharma:A brief history
  • A 10-year-old schoolboy and under-11 yoga champion were chosen from the UK for the awards which honour child prodigies from across 45 countries and 30 different categories. 
  • Sharma who is originally from Mysore has participated in over 100 yoga events across the UK and worldwide.
  • He has started an e-petition with the UK government to include yoga in the national school curriculum and nearly 20,000 people signed. 
  • He is promoting a yogic lifestyle to combat climate change and help yogic methods to improve mental health among children and adults.

  • The award is a Global Talent Recognition for Child Prodigies. 
  • The award recognizes the kids below 15 years who are extraordinary in their own way. 
  • 100 Global Child Prodigies will be recognized and will be featured in the Global Child Prodigy Award Book 2019.
